Sri Lanka, Sept. 30 -- Prime Minister Dr Harini Amarasuriya stated that aesthetic education is vital for cultivating not just skilled artists, but also empathetic and creative professionals equipped with a strong sense of humanity.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Bataduwa Sri Rathanajothi Vidyalaya in the Southern Province a specialized school dedicated to aesthetic subjects she emphasized that the government aims to foster well-rounded individuals who can excel in diverse fields like medicine and engineering while remaining deeply attuned to human needs.

Dr Amarasuriya noted that education must go beyond passing exams and earning certificates to shape responsible citizens capable of driving positive societal change.
