Sri Lanka, Oct. 20 -- President Anura Kumara Dissanayake paid his final respects this afternoon (20) to Deputy Chief Prelate of the Ramanna Sect and Chief Incumbent of the Getambe Rajopavanaramaya in Kandy, Most Venerable Kappetiyagoda Sirivimala Thera.

The President visited the temple, where the remains of the late prelate lie in state, and paid his respects before conveying his deepest condolences to the Maha Sangha and the temple's Dayaka Sabha, who are mourning his passing.

Central Province Governor and specialist physician Harsha Suranga Fernando, Kandy District Secretary Indika Udawatta and several others also attended the occasion.
