Sri Lanka, Aug. 27 -- President Anura Kumara Dissanayake expressed his condolences to Nepal regarding the tragedy that occurred due to the sudden flood situation affecting Nepal.

That was by making a note on the X social media.

The note made by the President is below.

"I am deeply saddened to learn of the tragic loss of lives following the devastating flood situation in Nepal. Sri Lanka stands ready to support rescue and debris clearing operations in Nepal. As a country still recovering from the deadly cyclone that occurred 10 months ago, we share the grief of the people of Nepal. Joining me, Sri Lanka expresses deep condolences to the people of Nepal."
