Prajashakthi programme reviews 2026 progress, 2027 plans
Sri Lanka, Aug. 25 -- A discussion regarding the progress review of the "Prajashakthi" programme for the year 2026 and plans for 2027, which is implemented as the government's main programme aiming to eradicate poverty, empower society, and ensure economic fairness, was held yesterday (24) at the President's Office.
This was held under the patronage of the Minister of Rural Development, Social Security and Community Empowerment Upali Pannilage and the Secretary to the President Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake.
It was emphasised here that around 23,000 projects were implemented using provisions of 23 billion rupees from the Rs. 25 billion allocated from the 2026 budget for the "Prajashakthi" program, and the ability exists to complete all ...
