Sri Lanka, Oct. 26 -- Police shot at a three-wheeler driven without obeying orders in the Nagoda area of Kalutara.

The three-wheeler driver injured in the shooting was admitted to Nagoda Teaching Hospital for treatment, according to police.

A police team from the Kalutara Crime Division signalled a suspicious three-wheeler to stop in the Bombuwala area of Kalutara during a search operation.

However, the three-wheeler was driven continuously without obeying police orders, and police chased it for nearly four kilometres.

Police then took steps to shoot and arrest the suspect along with the three-wheeler in the Nagoda area of Kalutara.
