Sri Lanka, April 27 -- Approximately 302kg of narcotics seized during raids by the Police Narcotic Bureau were destroyed today (27).

The Police Media Division stated that the stock was taken to the Lactowatta incinerator in Wanathavilluwa, Puttalam, for destruction.

This followed the conclusion of court cases at the Balapitiya and Chilaw Magistrate Courts.

The destroyed quantities included 22kg 888g of heroin, 33kg 172g of Kerala cannabis, and 247kg 940g of local cannabis.
