Sri Lanka, May 17 -- Two Police Constables attached to the Mount Lavinia Police miscellaneous complaints division stand arrested by The Mount Lavinia Division Crimes Investigation Bureau, for allegedly robbing 380,000 rupees from a three-wheeler driver on the Ratmalana Airport Road. Police stated that the robbery occurred on the 15th of this month.

Investigating officers arrested the two suspected constables following a complaint lodged with the police by a resident of the Moratuwa Angulana Sayurupura housing complex. However, police conducted further investigations based on suspicions regarding the complaint, which claimed that the robbed cash belonged to a rotating chit fund.
