Sri Lanka, Sept. 21 -- A police constable died following a motorcycle crash on the Agalawatta - Baduraliya road yesterday.

Police stated that the collision occurred near culvert 67/2.

A motorcycle travelling towards Baduraliya skidded and overturned on the road before colliding with another motorcycle coming from the opposite direction.

Both riders sustained severe injuries and were admitted to the Pimbura Hospital, where the constable succumbed to his injuries.

The deceased was a 41-year-old resident of Pelandha attached to the Matugama Police Station.

Agalawatta Police are conducting further investigations
