Sri Lanka, April 24 -- The peace walk began its third day near the historic Temple of the Tooth Relic in Kandy and is scheduled to reach the Mawanella - Beligammana Rajamaha Viharaya today (24).

Before starting the walk, Buddhist monks led by Vietnamese Ven. Pannakara Thera paid homage to the Sacred Tooth Relic and participated in a brief ceremony organised in front of the Temple of the Tooth Relic .

Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya also attended the event, according to the Hiru correspondent.
