Sri Lanka, Sept. 13 -- The partially buried body of a male has been discovered in an estate in the Kudagammana area, according to the Divulapitiya Police.

Police recovered the body after being alerted by a local resident who spotted the corpse and notified the Divulapitiya Police Station via telephone.

Upon arriving at the scene, police officers observed that the head was separated from the body. Officers also noted several currency notes and a type of toffee scattered at the location.

Divulapitiya Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
