Sri Lanka, March 18 -- The current administration's request for opposition support during the Middle East crisis is hypocritical given their past behavior, according to Sugishwara Bandara, leader of the Nava Janatha Peramuna. Speaking in Galle today during a petition drive for former intelligence chief Suresh Sallay, Bandara questioned how the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) could ask for responsibility now after their actions during the global pandemic.

Bandara alleged that the "Malimawa" government gained power through deception and continues to mislead the public regarding the severity of the energy situation.
