Sri Lanka, Oct. 31 -- The Department of Motor Traffic has decided to reintroduce its online appointment booking facility from November 2 for members of the public seeking services at its Narahenpita office.

Accordingly, the public is requested to book appointments in advance through the online system to access services including new vehicle registrations, transfers of vehicle ownership and the resolution of vehicle-related technical issues.

The department says the initiative aims to provide a more efficient and convenient service to the large number of people visiting its premises daily.

The system is also expected to reduce long queues, particularly for those who arrive early in the morning to obtain services.
