Sri Lanka, Aug. 23 -- One person died in a mishap that occurred due to the brake failure of a bus in the Nuwara Eliya-Haggala area.

The mishap occurred due to a collision with a bus travelling from Haggala to Welimada.

Police stated that a 46-year-old resident of the Ratnapura area died in this mishap.

The mishap occurred when the relevant bus had arrived in the Haggala area for an excursion.

Police stated that several other individuals were injured in the mishap.
