Sri Lanka, May 10 -- Sri Lanka's official reserve assets dipped below the 7 billion USD threshold in April 2026, based on the latest figures from the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. Total official reserves settled at 6.759 billion USD by the end of April, down from the 7.026 billion USD reported at the end of March.
Foreign exchange reserves, which constitute the primary part of the official reserves, decreased from 6.8 billion USD to 6.505 billion USD over the course of the month. Furthermore, gold reserves saw a marginal reduction, moving from 222 million USD to 219 million USD .
