Sri Lanka, Aug. 30 -- The Station Masters' Union says there is a low probability of operating special train services on Monday (31) for people returning after travelling to their hometowns during the long weekend.

Speaking at a press conference, Union President Sumeda Somaratne urged railway passengers to arrange their transport facilities tomorrow instead.

Due to two holidays falling within this week, many urban residents left for their hometowns last Wednesday.

Passengers who departed are scheduled to return following the conclusion of the weekend.

However, the Station Masters' Union stated that there are issues in providing special train services to facilitate their return on Monday.
