Sri Lanka, May 3 -- Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa received no official notification or summons from the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption concerning the Airbus deal, according to his media spokesperson, Attorney-at-Law Manoj Gamage.
He stated that the current President's premature remarks regarding upcoming court verdicts constitute a contempt of court and an attempt to influence judicial independence.
The spokesperson further alleged that the commission shows a biased interest in the Rajapaksas while failing to investigate serious accusations against the present government, including coal scams, container transactions, and dollar frauds.
