Sri Lanka, April 10 -- The no-confidence motion against Energy Minister Kumara Jayakodi regarding the importation of low-quality coal comes up for debate in Parliament today (10).
Opposition parties filed the motion against Minister Kumara Jayakodi on March 18. The proposal asserts that the Minister should be removed from office because he failed to fulfil his duty to ensure the procurement of sufficient and high-quality coal for the Norochcholai Lakvijaya power plant, thereby violating his ministerial responsibilities.
