Sri Lanka, April 11 -- A new WhatsApp number has been introduced by the police to submit video footage related to incidents of reckless and dangerous driving.

According to the Police Media Division, relevant video footage can be forwarded to the WhatsApp number 070 47 55 600, which operates 24 hours a day under the close supervision of the Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of Traffic Control and Road Safety.

The police request the public to record videos whenever incidents of dangerous and reckless driving are observed and to submit them along with the date, location, and police division where the incident occurred.
