Sri Lanka, Aug. 5 -- Jaffna team set a new record by scoring the highest number of runs in an innings in Lanka Premier League (LPL) tournament history.

They renewed this record by scoring 242 runs for the loss of only 2 wickets at the end of 20 overs against Galle team in the first semi-final match held in Colombo.

The record set in 2022 by Jaffna team itself was broken by scoring 240 runs for the loss of 3 wickets.

Engaging in brilliant batting for Jaffna team in this decisive match, Kamil Mishara provided a main contribution to elevate the team's score by scoring a brilliant unbeaten 108 runs off 55 balls.
