Sri Lanka, March 12 -- All Ambassador-designates who met with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake recently have received clearance from the Parliamentary Committee on High Posts, enabling them to assume their respective diplomatic postings.

The appointments include:

1. Dharshana M. Perera as High Commissioner-designate to Malaysia

2. D.M.S.P. Dassanayake as Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to the United Nations in Geneva

3. Dayani Mendis as Ambassador and Permanent Representative-designate of Sri Lanka to Austria

4. S.P.W. Pathirana as Ambassador-designate of Sri Lanka to Romania

5. N.I.D. Paranavitana as Ambassador and Permanent Representative-designate of Sri Lanka to Ethiopia and the African Union
