Sri Lanka, Feb. 19 -- The country's 18 economic centres are regulated through a state company named National Agri Marketing Services to facilitate their services, Trade, Commerce, Food Security, and Cooperative Development Minister Wasantha Samarasinghe stated in Parliament today (19). Providing necessary facilities for farmers, traders, and consumers at these economic centres is the primary objective of this move.
The Minister made these remarks while responding to a question raised by Member of Parliament Chamara Sampath Dasanayake regarding the economic centres.
