Sri Lanka, Oct. 21 -- A 32-year-old Myanmar labourer was taken into custody by airport police narcotics bureau officers in the early hours of today (21) while attempting to transport a stock of Kush narcotics valued at Rs. 46,060,000 out of the Katunayake Airport.

The suspect arrived at the Katunayake Airport aboard Thai Airways flight TG-307 from Bangkok, Thailand, at 1.45 am today (21). Four kilograms and six hundred and forty-six grams of Kush narcotics were concealed inside three packets hidden among clothing, sweets, and food items within the luggage he carried.

Police stated that the air passenger and the seized narcotics are scheduled to be produced before the Negombo Magistrate's Court today (21) for further investigation.
