Sri Lanka, Sept. 23 -- Colombo Fort Magistrate Pasan Amarasinghe today (23) rejected the bail application filed by Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa, who has been named as a suspect by the Criminal Investigation Department and remanded in connection with alleged financial irregularities and money laundering during SriLankan Airlines' Airbus procurement.

Accordingly, the Fort Magistrate ordered that the suspect be remanded until the 30th.

The bail order pertaining to the case was read out in court today.
