Sri Lanka, July 20 -- A heavy traffic jam arose at present on the lane operating from Kottawa towards Galle following a sudden fire on a passenger transport bus between the Welipenna and Kurundugahahetekma areas on the Southern Expressway.

A special traffic advisory was issued by the police for vehicles coming from the direction of Colombo due to this.

The Police request drivers to exit from the Welipenna Interchange and use alternative routes for vehicles coming from Colombo towards Galle to avoid the existing heavy traffic jam.
