Sri Lanka, March 4 -- A motorcycle carrying a married couple was completely destroyed after it suddenly caught fire in the Sisirawatta Junction area on Kandalama Road, Dambulla, last afternoon (03), according to the Dambulla Police.

The couple, residents of the Kandalama area, were traveling to an oil mill on their motorcycle, carrying a bag of copra to be processed into coconut oil.

As they were traveling, the motorcycle suddenly ignited. The couple acted quickly, jumping off the vehicle to save their lives. Police stated that the fire spread rapidly across the entire motorcycle the moment they dismounted.
