Sri Lanka, March 28 -- Commissioner General of Motor Traffic Kamal Amarasinghe remains in remand custody until next Monday (30).

The Criminal Investigation Department arrested him in connection with an ongoing probe into vehicle registration irregularities. Following the arrest, authorities produced him before the court, leading to the current detention order.
