Sri Lanka, March 8 -- Some 22 Iranian sailors who were rescued off the coast of Sri Lanka after the US torpedoed and sank their vessel have been discharged from hospital, according to the AFP news agency.
The sailors were treated at Karapitiya Hospital in the southern port city of Galle, the agency reported. "Another 10 are still undergoing treatment," a medical officer at the hospital told AFP.
The officer said the bodies of 84 Iranians retrieved from the Indian Ocean were also at the hospital. Several others remain missing.
Iranian officials said there were at least 130 sailors aboard when the vessel was attacked by the US.
