Mosquito sites inspected, cases filed in Angoda
Sri Lanka, July 20 -- Mosquito breeding sites in the Gothatuwa Medical Officer of Health area, identified as a dengue high-risk area, were strictly inspected, according to Gothatuwa Public Health Inspectors.
The Gothatuwa Public Health Inspectors said that these operations are carried out daily in collaboration with the Public Health Inspectors of the Gothatuwa Medical Officer of Health office, the army, and local civil organisations.
Mosquito breeding sites were identified in discarded tyres and containers inside workplaces such as garages.
The Gothatuwa Public Health Inspectors said that the owners and employees were strictly warned during the inspection, and legal action was taken to prosecute them.
