Sri Lanka, Oct. 15 -- The Irrigation Department has warned that several low-lying areas along the Nilwala River face a risk of minor flooding within the next 24 hours.

According to the department, the risk applies to low-lying areas in the Akuressa, Athuraliya, Malimbada, Kamburupitiya, Thihagoda and Matara Divisional Secretariat (DS) divisions.
