Sri Lanka, Oct. 19 -- Metro Transit Private Limited informed Kaduwela Magistrate Aruna Indrajith Buddhadasa today that the Kaduwela Municipal Council recommended the relevant land to them, in the case filed alleging that a 100-perch plot of land near the Athurugiriya Millennium City housing complex was forcibly occupied for a Metro bus stand.

The company also requested the court to release it from the case as the responsibility regarding its ownership lies with the Municipal Council.

This was stated by the lawyer from the Attorney General's Department who appeared in court on behalf of Metro Transit Private Limited.
