Sri Lanka, Sept. 17 -- Transport Minister Bimal Rathnayake released route maps for the Lanka Metro Transit network on social media to highlight upcoming expansions scheduled for late September.

Passengers can anticipate a secure and comfortable journey across the capital and its surrounding suburbs through the new transit plans.

Seven distinct services will connect Colombo to major transport hubs and neighborhoods under the newly published network layout.

The planned routes include:

* CM 01: Makumbura to Pettah

* CM 02: Millennium City to Colombo Fort

* CM 03: Kadawatha to Makumbura

* CM 04: Dematagoda to Panadura

* CM 05: Battaramulla to Ekala

* CM 06: Kollupitiya Circular Route
