Sri Lanka, Feb. 24 -- Steps have been taken to release 300,000 domestic gas cylinders to the market, according to Litro Gas.

This move comes as residents in several areas continue to face difficulties due to ongoing gas shortages. To address the supply gap, a vessel carrying 3,900 metric tonnes of LPG arrived in the country the day before yesterday.

Furthermore, two additional gas tankers carrying a total of 7,600 metric tonnes are scheduled to arrive tomorrow and on the 28th.
