Sri Lanka, May 3 -- The President of the Maldives, Mohamed Muizzu, is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka this afternoon (May 3) for a three-day official visit.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this marks President Muizzu's first visit to Sri Lanka since assuming office in 2023.
He will be accompanied by First Lady Sajidha Mohamed, the Maldivian Foreign Minister, and several senior government officials.
During the visit, President Muizzu is expected to hold bilateral discussions with Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
The talks will focus on strengthening the longstanding friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
