Sri Lanka, June 23 -- Chamara Sampath Rodrigo alias "Mahawatte Chamara," who is allegedly involved in a number of organised crimes and was held under detention orders after being arrested while hiding in Dubai and brought to this country, was ordered to be remanded until the 25th by Colombo Additional Magistrate Lahiru Silva today (23).

The magistrate issued this order after the Central Crimes Investigation Bureau produced the suspect before the court.

The investigation officers requested the court at this instance to order the prison officials to direct the suspect to court number 4 of the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court, as a case regarding possession of firearms was filed against this suspect before that court.
