Sri Lanka, Oct. 25 -- A group including Buddhist monks temporarily suspended the satyagraha campaign launched at Viharamahadevi Park in Colombo demanding the release of Venerable Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thera.

Venerable Ulapane Sumangala Thera announced the decision during a media briefing held this afternoon, October 25, alongside participating monks at the protest site.

Venerable Ulapane Sumangala Thera stated that the participants decided to temporarily halt the demonstration after the Chief Prelates of the three sects informed the group that they would intervene directly to secure the release of Venerable Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thera.
