Sri Lanka, April 7 -- Five 9mm live bullets were discovered this afternoon (07) within the female inmates' section of the Galle Prison.
Prison officials found the ammunition during a special internal search operation. According to the Prison Superintendent's Office, the bullets were found hidden without a clear owner within the cells of the female wing.
The live ammunition is currently in the custody of the Prison Superintendent. Prison intelligence and officials initiated an extensive investigation to determine how the ammunition entered the high-security female section and to identify the individual responsible for bringing them in.
