Largest ice haul in Kalutara division found in Baduraliya forest
Sri Lanka, May 31 -- A travel bag containing nearly 4 kilograms of ICE worth over Rs. 55 million lay hidden in a forest area in Thumbagalla, Baduraliya, before law enforcement officers uncovered it.
Baduraliya Police stated that this marks the largest single seizure of ICE recorded within the Kalutara division to date.
An inspection of the bag revealed 60 large parcels containing 3 kilograms and 362 grams of the synthetic drug inside a wooded area near the Thumbagalla bridge.
A team of police officers rushed to the location upon receiving intelligence that a suspect transport arrangement had moved the narcotics from Matugama to Baduraliya.
