Sri Lanka, Aug. 24 -- Lanka Salusala Limited Chairman Dinuk Wijesinghe was released on a surety bail of Rs.500,000 by Colombo Additional Magistrate Oshada Migara Maharachchi, regarding an incident where he allegedly defaulted on value-added tax payments due to the government.

The bail was ordered when the case filed by the Commissioner General of Inland Revenue naming the Chairman of Lanka Salusala as the respondent was called, alleging that Lanka Salusala Limited defaulted on paying value-added tax from the year 2017 to the year 2023.
