Sri Lanka, Oct. 12 -- The landslide warning issued for seven districts remains in effect with the continuing rain, according to the National Building Research Institute (NBRI).

Level 1 warnings have been issued for the Badulla, Colombo, Kandy, Matale, Nuwara Eliya and Ratnapura districts. Level 2 warnings have been issued for the Bulathkohupitiya, Ruwanwella and Mawanella divisional secretariat areas in the Kegalle district.

The Department of Meteorology said this afternoon that rainfall is expected to increase over the next three days.
