Sri Lanka, Sept. 25 -- The National Building Research Organisation has issued Level 3 red landslide evacuation warnings for specific divisions within the Galle, Kandy, and Nuwara Eliya districts due to ongoing heavy rainfall.

This high-risk alert remains effective from 4:00 p.m. today until 4:00 p.m. tomorrow.

Affected areas under the red warning include Neluwa, Nagoda, Niyagama, and Thawalama in Galle; Ganga Ihala Korale, Udapalatha, Doluwa, and Pasbage Korale in Kandy; and Kothmale West, Ambagamuwa, Kotmale East, and Norwood in Nuwara Eliya.

Residents in these zones are advised to evacuate immediately if heavy downpours persist, citing grave dangers from slope failures, rockfalls, and ground subsidence.
