SriLanka, April 1 -- The Kurunegala district recorded a maximum temperature of 37C during the 24-hour period ending at 8:30 AM today (1).

The Department of Meteorology noted that the lowest temperature during this timeframe was 8.1C, observed in the Nuwara Eliya district.

Regarding rainfall, the Kalupahana Estate in the Kegalle district received the highest amount, measuring 39 mm.

Other significant rainfall figures include 30 mm in Niriella, Ratnapura, and 26 mm in the Kukuleganga area. Additionally, Katunayake reported a rainfall of 17.3 mm.
