Sri Lanka, Sept. 24 -- Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama ordered former Krrish company director Janaki Siriwardhana to be remanded until October 6 today (24) after she was arrested by the Bribery Commission.

The order was issued following submissions presented to the court by the Bribery Commission regarding the arrest of the suspect.

In further submissions to the court concerning the incident, investigative officers stated that charges were filed against the suspect for allegedly offering a Rs.70 million bribe to Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa in exchange for assisting in swiftly acquiring the land named Transworks Square in Colombo Fort, which belongs to the Urban Development Authority, for the relevant company.
