SriLanka, March 30 -- Water capacity at the Kotmale Reservoir plummeted due to the prevailing dry weather, according to the reservoir's Engineer-in-Charge.
As of 6:00 AM today (30), the water level stood at 21.8%.
The total water volume currently measures 37.276 million cubic meters, with the Water Management Secretariat overseeing all releases for electricity generation.
The official further noted that water levels at the Upper Kotmale Reservoir, located upstream, also declined.
