Sri Lanka, April 19 -- Police received permission to detain and question former Member of Parliament Chandana Kathriarachchi for a period of 30 days.

The Colombo Crimes Division will conduct the interrogation following this authorisation.

The court issued this order after the former Member of Parliament was arrested with firearms and explosives.
