Sri Lanka, June 13 -- Parliamentarian of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Namal Rajapaksa says that some members of the government claim President Gotabaya Rajapaksa came to power due to the Easter Sunday attacks, and if that is the case, then the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) also played a role through its national list.

Addressing a public meeting held at Seruwavila Rajawawa, Rajapaksa made the following remarks:
