Sri Lanka, Nov. 1 -- Minister of Justice Harshana Nanayakkara has dismissed social media claims that the Parliamentary Select Committee report on the controversial release of 323 containers from the Colombo Port has gone missing, describing the allegations as false.

Nanayakkara, who chairs the committee, said the report was in its final stages of preparation, adding that all witness statements, documents and other evidence remained securely recorded in Parliament.

He said the committee had completed recording evidence from witnesses and had examined a substantial volume of documentation. The process of reviewing the material and preparing the findings had taken longer than initially anticipated.
