Sri Lanka, April 20 -- A special meeting of the Joint Opposition is scheduled to take place this evening (20) at the residence of a former minister in Colombo.
A party leader from the Joint Opposition stated that the discussion will focus extensively on the resignation of the Energy Minister regarding the substandard coal incident and the subsequent steps to be taken against the government.
The leadership argues that a mere resignation does not resolve the issue, especially since the country suffered losses amounting to billions of rupees.
They maintain that the entire Cabinet must accept responsibility for the situation.
