Joint Opposition demands disciplinary inquiry into CIABOC DG
Sri Lanka, May 28 -- An immediate disciplinary inquiry into the conduct of the Director General of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) Ranga Dissanayake is necessary, according to a written request submitted to Commission Chairman Justice W.M.N.P. Iddawela.
The People's United Opposition sent the letter, dated May 26, 2026, pointing out that the Director General must operate in accordance with the orders and directives of the commission, which also serves as his disciplinary authority.
