Sri Lanka, April 18 -- The NPP government faces a severe decline, as evidenced by Cabinet Ministers Vijitha Herath, Bimal Rathnayake, and Nalindha Jayatissa holding a joint press conference to deflect coal scam allegations.

Samagi Jana Balawegaya Parliamentarian Sujeewa Senasinghe states that the ministers' efforts to wash away these charges yielded no results and only highlighted the administration's instability.

The MP points out that the sudden briefing and the ministers' responses to journalists clearly demonstrate a significant breakdown within the government.

He suggests that given the rapid collapse, it would not be surprising if the President and Prime Minister are forced to hold press conferences themselves in the future.
