Sri Lanka, April 10 -- A 19-year-old resident of Nikadalupotha, Wellawa, was found dead at a hotel on Moragahahena Road within the Homagama police division last night (09).

Investigations initiated by the Homagama Police following a tip-off revealed that the death resulted from an assault by a group of individuals.

Initial findings indicate that the fatality occurred during a dispute at a party held at the hotel by students from a private higher education institute in Homagama.

Magisterial inquiries regarding the body are scheduled to take place, while Homagama Police continue further investigations to apprehend the suspects.
